I always seem to have a thing for music. Can't really write without listening to some and right now I've been buying loads of CDs and wanting to download a lot too. Music always gets mentioned in my stories as much as what the characters are wearing. I have play lists that inspire my books and play lists of the songs that are mentioned in the books. The music from is nearly always bigger than the inspire play lists. My characters seem to listen to as much music as I do. There's always a song I really wanna mention in my books.
Does anyone else have songs they love so much they want to mention it in their books? Do you mention songs in your books and have play lists of them? And what songs inspire you?

If my main character is having a gangster moment then I put some rap music on. If they're sad, a ballad will do. And if they're in some fast paced action, an epic soundtrack.
Do you listen to a certain band/artist most of the time when writing?
